Shrimps form the most widely consumed and important protein supplement for many types of fish. The shrimp with its universal appeal, feeds almost every kind of fish and sea creature. Hence, a lure in the shape of a shrimp is a natural in any aquatic environment. Predatory fish seek out prey through a combination of 8 senses - sight, sound, smell, touch, taste, electrical discharge, magnetic discharge and vibration. We have developed a technology (Interflow – MTS) that allows our lure to mimic most of these prey-like characteristics at the same time, thereby enticing the predator to strike.

The primary focus of the incorporated InterFlow-MTS system is towards emitting additional water turbulence. The jets of water exit from strategically located outlets and generate additional water turbulence thereby gaining the fish's attention. The enhanced vibration capitalizes on the predator's dependency on its lateral lines to hunt - especially so in murky conditions - thus giving an added advantage to the angler.

Six of our lures are fully luminous underwater. After only 5 minutes charging in direct sunlight or strong artificial light, these lures will glow for around 8 hours. For whatever reason, a large number of different fish species are attracted to glowing baits and lures and so we took advantage of this well known fact in producing this series of Ghost Shrimps. The Ghost Shrimp range is complemented by 2 additional lures painted in 2 of the most widely accepted and successful colour schemes – namely blue/green and white/red.

Unlike a lot of other hard bodied lures, these lures actually will sink. On average, the lures sink at a rate of about 30cms or 1 foot per second. It is therefore quite easy to work out how long to leave the lure alone before commencing winding if you are chasing fish that are feeding close to the bottom. Experience has shown that these lures work best by being retrieved quite slowly with an occasional twitch of the rod – similar to how soft plastics are retrieved. If the swimming action of the lure doesn’t appear to be quite right then you simply bend the towing eye slightly until you get it to swim exactly right.

All of the lures are hand carved from Sono timber. They come fully rigged with spilt rings and VMC treble hooks. They have an overall length of 9cms and weigh 10 grams. All models are “Glow in the Dark’ except the Blue/Green and the Red Head lures.
