Evolution was originally developed as a casting lure targeting Giant Trevally. Subsequent field testing has shown it to be far more versatile. In addition to it being an outstanding casting lure for GT’s and other pelagic species such as Yellowfin Tuna and Mackerel, when rigged with single game hooks instead of the standard 4/0 trebles, it becomes an excellent trolling lure. It has proven to be especially attractive to small Black Marlin and Dolphin Fish when trolled at a speed of 6-8 knots.

A key feature of the Evolution series is the different model shapes to suit the prevailing water conditions. Cobra and Razor are ideal for choppy conditions. They work well in calm and moderate conditions too. They are excellent all rounders. Pop Master, Bone Eater, Draco and Back Bone Bros, are designed to cater for calm to moderate conditions. Razor, Draco, Bone Eater and Back Bone Bros have "V" bottoms shaped like the hull of boats. This unique feature helps the poppers cut through the water with less resistance during popping.
